Its story
In the Keel of the southern sky, this yellow G-type star is surprisingly close —barely 52 light-years away. Its light departed when humanity was broadcasting the first satellite television images and civilian nuclear energy was still being debated. It is almost a sibling of the Sun, with a similar mellow surface, caught inside a constellation that recalls the voyage of the first mythical ship.
