Its story

In Carina, the keel of the southern Argo ship, shines a yellow G-class sun at 1,091 light-years. Though it shares spectral family with our own, its light takes more than a millennium to arrive: what we see tonight departed when the Viking realms were settling Iceland and Irish monasteries were copying manuscripts by candlelight.
