Hot blue starIts story
In Puppis, another relic of the old ship Argo, burns a hot blue B-type star about 626 light-years away. Its light set out around 1400, while the shipyards of Genoa and Venice were preparing the vessels that would soon cross the Atlantic. Its surface comfortably exceeds ten thousand degrees, offering the sharp blue of young and massive stars.
