Its story
48 Geminorum dwells in one of the celestial twins at 358 light-years. An F-type star — white, slightly hotter than the Sun and considerably more luminous. Its light set out in the heart of the seventeenth century, when astronomy was beginning to lean on lenses rather than on naked-eye measurement. Magnitude 5.85 — a pale, discreet point between the two figures of the pair.
