Its story

45 Geminorum is a yellow G-type star in the Twins, around 323 light-years away from Earth. It shares the Sun's exact colour, yet lies more than a thousand times farther than the nearest stellar system to ours. It hangs to one side of the bright pair that gives the entire constellation its name, like a silent witness of the northern winter night sky overhead.
