Hot blue starIts story
In the celestial unicorn of Monoceros glints a blue B-type star. Its light set out one thousand and seventy-seven years ago, when the caliphs of Córdoba were urging Arab and Jewish scholars to translate Greek astronomy into Arabic. Far hotter than the Sun, it casts a sharp blue, like a Damascus blade newly polished. Each of its flashes recalls the Andalusian night when the stars spoke, once again, in several languages at once.
