Its story
In Lepus, the Hare crouched beneath Orion's feet, shines an orange K-class giant whose light set out around 1737, while Bach had already composed much of his work and the Enlightenment was advancing unchecked. Cooler than the Sun yet swollen to several dozen solar radii, it radiates a coppery, mellow glow. It is one of those mature beacons of the winter sky, an attentive witness to a far more famous celestial hunter who seems about to pounce.
