Hot blue starIts story
Within Auriga the northern charioteer burns a blue B-type star 1437 light years away. Its light set out when the Visigothic kingdoms of Hispania were falling under the Muslim advance and the geography of Europe was being redrawn. Hot, massive and cosmically very young, it surpasses the Sun thousands of times in brightness and pours a cutting blue into the dark.
