Hot blue starIts story
A blue-white star in Lepus, burning with the heat that distinguishes the B class, surfaces topping twenty thousand degrees. Its light set out 198 years ago, around the time the Stockton-Darlington Railway inaugurated the modern era of transport in 1825. Its sapphire hue is the signature of young, hot suns, and from our vantage point it lends its constellation a discreet yet unmistakably metallic glint.
