Its story
Eridanus, the celestial river slipping south of Orion, cradles this clean white A-type star. Its light came loose around 1720, when Johann Sebastian Bach was composing his cello suites for solo cello in Köthen. Three hundred years later, that brilliance arrives like a single note sustained above the murmur of the river.
