Variable starIts story
It inhabits Eridanus and it is a variable star: its blue glow swells and ebbs slowly, like a cosmic breathing. A B-type sun, far hotter and more massive than ours, its light took some 476 years to cross space and reach us. It set out when Magellan and Elcano were completing the first circumnavigation of the globe, proving Earth a navigable planet. A restless star in a river that is restless too.
