Its story

Upsilon-4 Eridani, also catalogued as 41 Eridani, flows 178 light-years away within the long meander of the celestial river. A hot blue-white B-type star, it sits in a region the ancient Egyptians and Mesopotamians linked to currents and rivermouths. Its light belongs to the southern arm of Eridanus, where the stream pauses before reaching Achernar.
