Its story
37 Tauri shines 187 light-years away as an orange giant of the galactic clump. Having exhausted the hydrogen in its core, it has swollen to ten times the radius of the Sun and burns at 4,732 K, pouring out roughly sixty times more light than our star. It now fuses helium at its heart —the serene «red-clump» phase of late maturity, lasting millions of years before its final transformation.
