Del-3
Variable starIts story
Delta-3 Tauri, also called Cleeia after one of the mythical daughters who gave the Hyades their name, belongs to that open cluster which draws the Bull's head. It is a binary about 149 light-years away whose primary is a candidate blue straggler —a star looking younger than its cluster ought to allow, probably rejuvenated after stripping matter from a companion. It thus shares its birthplace with most of the bright stars in the Bull's face, with Aldebaran merely a foreground neighbour.
