What is HIP 18262

A muted orange along the channel of Eridanus, the celestial river, this K giant pours its light from 500 light-years. What we see tonight departed when Luther was nailing his 95 theses to the door at Wittenberg and European Christendom was splitting in two. While humans debated their faith, this point kept crossing the silence.
