Its story
4 Tauri is a white A-type star about 361 light-years away, in a stretch of the Bull crowded with young clusters. Its surface hovers near ten thousand degrees, giving it that crisp, faintly bluish hue typical of main-sequence stars in full prime. Its light set out around the mid-seventeenth century, travelling while Galileo and Huygens were turning Europe into a new nation of observers.
