Its story
It inhabits Fornax, a slender southern constellation created by Lacaille in the eighteenth century to honour the chemical furnace of the laboratory. A K-type star with an orange tone, the colour of copper kindled at low heat. Its light took just over 451 years to arrive: it set out around 1574, when King Sebastian of Portugal was preparing the fateful campaign of Alcacer Quibir. In Fornax, with no bright stars, it keeps a serene and warm position.
