Its story

ι² Fornacis shines within the Furnace, a southern constellation drawn by Lacaille in the 18th century. A yellow-white F-type star some 111 light-years away, a relatively near distance in cosmic terms, her surface is slightly hotter and more luminous than the Sun's, and her marginally whiter tint shows in any careful observation.
