Its story
83 Aquarii is a yellow-white F-type star 209 light-years away, in the band of Aquarius where the zodiac dissolves into the watery constellations of the autumn sky. Its surface burns slightly hotter than the Sun's, giving it a marginally whiter tint. Its light took two centuries to reach us: it left when Herschel's telescopes were first sweeping the deep sky for nebulae.
