Its story

2 Andromedae is a white A-type star at the feet of the chained princess, that mythological figure who shares the sky with her rescuer Perseus. More than four hundred light-years away, its light departed when telescopes were only beginning to be perfected. It shines with the bluish sharpness typical of hot main-sequence stars.
