Its story
In the distant figure of Indus, a southern memory of the indigenous peoples first seen by European navigators, shines a yellow-white star about 161 light-years away. Its light set out around 1865, when the American Civil War was ending and the first humanitarian convention was signed in Geneva. Slightly hotter than the Sun, it vibrates with an almost metallic glow in the middle of a seldom-visited sky.
