Its story
In the modest constellation of Lacerta, a K-type orange giant pours its glow toward our telescopes from roughly 482 light years away. That light set out when Renaissance Europe still debated Copernican ideas, drifting silently while modern printing and the first celestial catalogues were being shaped. Cooler than the Sun yet far larger across, it shines with the amber tone of a star that has long since outgrown its youth. Tonight it arrives like an ancient whisper among the scattered houses of the Lizard.
