Its story

Eta Piscis Austrini is a blue main-sequence star 817 light-years away, in the same constellation as bright Fomalhaut, yet seventeen times farther. By contrast, Fomalhaut sits at 25 light-years and Eta at nearly a thousand: two points of light overlapping in the same sketch of sky, separated by a distance the eye cannot feel. A quiet reminder that the sky is flat only in appearance.
