What is 26 Aquarii
26 Aquarii shines in the water-bearer's constellation at more than eleven hundred light-years, a genuine remoteness for a star still visible to the human eye. It belongs to the K class, the orange giants ageing in slow majesty, and its light crossed the galaxy while the first medieval universities were emerging on Earth. Its modest brightness in our sky is eloquent testimony to the distance it must travel.
