Its story
25 Aquarii glows in patient orange some 226 light-years away, within the ancient figure of the Water Bearer. It is a K-class giant that has stopped burning hydrogen in its core: it now fuses helium, a more advanced and far briefer stage of stellar life. Its surface, swollen to several times the Sun's diameter, radiates dozens of times the solar energy with a steady, warm glow.
