Its story

Nu Aquarii is a yellow giant, cooler and far more extended than the Sun, that has left youth behind — its hydrogen burning has bloated its outer layers. It shines quietly in the Water Bearer, where ancient myth placed the cupbearer of the gods pouring the river that flows toward the Southern Fish. Its light, after travelling 159 years, reaches our eyes as a gentle yellow echo of a distant fin de siècle.
