Its story

86 Aquarii is a G-type star pouring warm light over the Water Bearer from about 216 light-years away. It belongs to the Sun s spectral family, though more luminous and far more distant; at magnitude 4.48 it lingers at the edge of unaided sight. On northern autumn nights its golden hue slips almost unnoticed among the watery constellations that flood that quadrant of the sky.
