Its story
49 Cygni is a yellow G-type giant in the Swan, that cross of stars stretched across the luminous plane of the Milky Way. A spectral cousin of the Sun but far larger, its light takes nearly eight hundred years to cross the space between us. It departed as Europe emerged from the Black Death and Castile had yet to join with Aragon.
