Hot blue starIts story
In the heart of the Swan, crossed by the river of the Milky Way, burns a blue B-type star. Its light set out about 465 years ago, when Tycho Brahe in 1572 observed a new star that would shake medieval certainties about the unchanging heavens. Much hotter than the Sun, it lives fast in the express lane of stellar evolution. Its bluish tone blends among the rows of stars that trace the wings of Cygnus, deep in the galactic corridor.
