Hot blue starIts story
In Cygnus, gliding above the summer Milky Way, burns a blue star. Its light crossed nearly 870 years before reaching us: it set out around 1156, when Frederick Barbarossa was crowned Holy Roman Emperor and the Almohads ruled Al-Andalus. Its scorching surface turns it into an electric flame pinned to the swan's wing.
