Kap-1
Its story
Kappa-1 Sagittarii is a white A-type star 216 light-years away, in the rich region of the Archer where the plane of the Milky Way unfurls its densest fields. Not far away the galactic centre lies hidden behind veils of dust. Kappa-1 acts as a small luminous counterpoint among the nebulae and open clusters that crowd this stretch of the summer sky.
