Its story

58 Aquilae is a white A-type star 372 light-years away, in the constellation of the Eagle, the bird that carried Zeus's thunderbolts. Its blue-white hue betrays a surface several thousand degrees hotter than the Sun's. It belongs to the rich summer field crossing the northern Milky Way, where Aquila spreads its wings between the Swan, the Lyre and the Shield of summer.
