Chi
Its story
Chi Aquilae is a yellow G2 supergiant about 854 light-years away, set in the constellation of the Eagle as it flies before the summer Milky Way. Its light reaches us filtered through the Great Rift, that long dark band of interstellar dust splitting the galaxy's luminous river. What we see now set out around the year 1170, deep in the Middle Ages.
