Ome-1
Its story
Omega-1 Aquilae is a yellow-white star on the back of the Eagle, the bird that in Greek mythology carried the thunderbolts of Zeus. It shines from some 415 light years away, with a clean glow that barely crosses the threshold of the unaided eye under a truly dark sky. Its light began its journey to us around 1610, just as Galileo first turned his telescope toward the stars.
