Hot blue starIts story
52 Sagittarii is a double system inside the bow of the Archer, around 190 light-years away from Earth. The primary component is a blue B9 star paired with a far fainter orange dwarf only 2.4 arcseconds apart; that small K-type dwarf is the one actually betraying the system in the X-ray range. An uneven pair quietly shining together toward the dense heart of our Milky Way.
