Its story
In the modest southern Telescope shines an orange K-class giant whose tepid light has travelled more than five hundred and forty years. When it left that surface, the Castilian caravels were preparing to cross the Atlantic and Gutenberg's press was only beginning to spread through Europe. Its amber tone belongs to an ageing star, cooler than the Sun yet far broader, with a slow and stable atmosphere.
