Eta-2 Coronae Australis is a solitary blue-white B9 subgiant with 3.2 solar masses and 171 times the Sun's luminosity, about 482 light-years away within the Southern Crown. At 213 million years it remains young on a stellar scale, burning at nearly 11,000 kelvin. It shines within the small austral ring symmetrical to the northern Corona, a discreet garland at the feet of Sagittarius.
