Its story
It shines white in Sagittarius, that constellation packed with clusters and nebulae aimed at the center of the galaxy, about 341 light years away. Its light began traveling around 1684, when Newton was already preparing the Principia and Versailles was fixing the aesthetic horizon of the European court. An A-type star, hotter than the Sun, with a crystalline, almost bluish light. A discreet, elegant flash in a sky region forever overflowing with stars.
