Its story
95 Herculis is a yellow giant of solar spectral type burning some 417 light-years away, embedded in the body of the celestial hero. The light reaching us tonight left its surface when Earth was still drawing the contours of its oceans. Its modest brightness — barely visible to the naked eye under clean skies — reminds us that Hercules hides quiet jewels beyond its famous M13 cluster.
