Hot blue starIts story
102 Herculis burns like a bluish beacon at the northern edge of classical Hercules, more than nine hundred light-years away. Its surface, far hotter than the Sun’s, radiates in whites and violets the human eye can scarcely register at full force. When this light first set out, Europe had not yet imagined the telescope.
