Its blue-white light betrays a surface far hotter than the Sun's and a luminosity worth hundreds of suns. Tagged as a suspected astrometric binary, its faint wobble hints at an unseen companion no telescope has yet caught on camera.

4 Sagittarii lies in the southern celestial hemisphere. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky. Its best month of the year is June, when it culminates around midnight.
