Its story
In Hercules, some 317 light-years away, beats this orange type K star. Its light set out around 1709, while the Battle of Poltava was deciding the fate of the Baltic and the first steam engines were beginning to hint at the coming industrial revolution. Cooler than the Sun but considerably larger, it offers a warm copper glow within the constellation of the hero who strangled the Nemean lion.
