Variable starIts story
A white variable in Triangulum Australe, the modest triangle of the southern sky. Her light, flickering yet serene, has been travelling 788 years: it left when Thomas Aquinas was debating reason and faith in Paris, and Mongolia was conquering half of Eurasia. Variable A stars are rare, oscillating little but meaning much within stellar astrophysics.
