Its story
54 Herculis is an orange K-type giant 392 light-years away in the body of Hercules. Its light left the surface when it was still debated whether the Earth turned. Today it is measured by probes such as Gaia, modern heirs to the first parallaxes done by eye and photographic plate. A star of copper calm, settled, with no dramatic flourishes in its hue.
