Its story

25 Iota Ophiuchi is a blue-white B-type star, hot and young, lying some 245 light-years away within the vast figure of the Serpent Bearer. Its surface exceeds ten thousand degrees, hot enough to tint its light a cool blue that contrasts with the orange giants nearby. It shines in a part of the sky crowded with dark nebulae that seem to cut shapes from the Milky Way's glow.
