Its story
16 Herculis is an orange K-type giant about 348 light-years away, in one of the largest constellations of the northern sky. Its amber, warm light set out around the start of the seventeenth century, just as the first refracting telescopes were multiplying the number of stars within human reach. It now slips by almost unnoticed beneath the glow of Hercules s more celebrated members.
