Its story
Pure white in the discreet Sculptor, 303 light years away, an A-class star lights its southern corner of sky. The light now reaching the atmosphere took leave of its surface around 1722, the year the Dutch navigator Roggeveen first sighted Easter Island on Easter Sunday. Strong hydrogen, clean colour, gentle glow — the classic signature of young stellar maturity.
