Its story

49 Librae shines with F-type yellowish light some 115 light-years away, a notable nearness within the Scales. At magnitude 5.47 it lies at the edge of unaided visibility, set in a constellation that Roman antiquity carved from the claws of Scorpius. Today it keeps its quiet place in that region of sky where the symbolic balance of judgement is translated into faint, scattered stars.
