Xi-2 Lupi is a blue-white double B9-type star, 150 light-years away, in the constellation of the Wolf. About 381 million years old, it carries 2.4 solar masses and burns at nearly 10,000 kelvin, shining with around ten solar luminosities. It belongs to a region of the southern sky where the Wolf eternally chases the Centaur, two ancient figures sharing skies far from the busy zodiacal road.
