Alkalurops
Mu-1
Its story
Alkalurops closes the hand of Boötes, the celestial herdsman who drives the bears around the pole. Its name comes from the Greek «kalaurops», the shepherd's crook, later taken up by Arab astronomers. A yellow-white F-class star 113 light years away, it belongs to a triple system in which two fainter dwarfs revolve slowly around the principal.
